E20 RAW and UNFILTERED sailing along the ATLANTIC Coast of PORTUGAL

E20 RAW and UNFILTERED sailing along the ATLANTIC Coast of PORTUGAL

In this weeks episode we leave Nazare and head further down the coast, another 65 miles South to Cascais. A beautiful town nestled in the Lisbon District of Portugal.

When it comes to editing, I am always learning and trying to improve. In this episode I’ve tried to keep it un-polished. No music, no voiceovers, tried to keep it as raw and as real as we can so you can take a look at what a normal day aboard looks like!

This video has a nasty little twist at the end though. The wind died as we approached the headland a couple miles out
from Cascais. The engine was in reverse gear to stop the prop spinning
whilst sailing.

We started the engine whilst (unknowingly) still in reverse, and at
high revs. The propshaft was immediately spat out the back of
the engine room.

It sheared a 7mm through bolt between the coupling and shaft.

We had water pouring in through the engine room.

The wind had died.

We had no engine.
