In this episode of Sailing Nandji, its tools down! Nandji is back in the water and safely at anchor once again. After spending nearly 3 months on the island of Langkawi, we are yet to see any of island apart from the boatyard. We felt it was time to go explore the island and have a day of enjoyment and try to relax a little!
WE hire a car for the day, little red rocket… and rattle our way around the island of Langkawi checking out the sights. We find some amazing beaches, visit waterfalls, temples and then take the famous cable car to the sky bridge up in the mountains for the spectacular views. To finish the big day of touring off, we head to the tourist beach of Langkawi, Pantai Cenang and relax with a beer and the sun setting over the water. A great day off!
Thank you to everyone who has watched our videos and contributed to our new engine. It is all because of you legends we have been able to install this brand new engine and re-power Nandji. With all this boat work being complete our vessel is becoming indestructible as we get her ready for our next big trip across the Indian Ocean.
With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papuea New Guinea and Indonesia and finally arrived to the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the next big adventure. Currently on the hard stand, we are re-powering and completing a major refit! The work is now complete and Indonesia here we come!
We departed Australia in July 2017 and have since explored some amazing countries, met some beautiful people and experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades around the World! Indian Ocean here we come!!
