Separating .. off to SRI LANKA
Caught two flights from Pang Indonesia over to Columbo in Sri Lanka. We’re going to be vlogging here with my mom as well yay hello hello!Trellis House Accommodation
We’ve booked a kitchenette to keep the cost down and save money on eating out. The accommodation has two double beds in one unit rather than two separate spaces which is good for this trip of getting out and about around Sri Lanka.First Meal & Tuk Tuk Rides
Had our first meal in Sri Lanka at a little cafe called The Peppermint Cafe and caught three tuk tuks so far. Learned to make sure that the meter is running when you get in, set it to zero, they’ve got a meter, and have your map ready of where you’re going.Riding the Train from Columbo to Candy
Headed over to Candy via train, a 3 and 1/2 hour trip through the beautiful scenery of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan train lines are famous for their incredible scenery.Candy Accommodation
Booked a home stay in Candy for three nights. A house below where people are living and we’re using their top floor as our little apartment to save on eating out and costs.Lake Walk & Cultural Dances
Went for a walk around the lake, had Tuk Tok rides, saw the beach and went to watch cultural dances in Candy. The Temple of the Tooth is right next door.Sigiriya & Ancient Rock Fortress
Headed deeper into Sri Lanka to Sigiriya. Visited the ancient Rock Fortress, lots of history about King Dashwan and his family, 1200 steps to the top.Minneria National Park & Elephants
Took a four-wheel drive tour of Minneria National Park, one of the largest herds of wild Asian elephants in the world. Saw elephants and drove around their habitat.Next Stops
After two weeks of exploring in Sri Lanka with Nana and Yos’ mom, it’s time to head back to the boat.Reunite with Yos & Marley
The plan is to reunite with Yos and Marley as they’re currently sailing, before their 3000 nautical mile ocean crossing. More videos coming up so be sure to subscribe.Thank You!

Thank you and we’ll see you in the next one! It’s our last moment as a family together for a little while as Yos is preparing to sell 3,000 nautical miles to Maisha and we are getting ready to fly to Sri Lanka to then fly to maisha’s meeting back up with him. Tula and I are sitting this passage out but we’ll be joining the boat for the rest of the journey. We’re at Padang airport which is where we part ways temporarily. Tula and I we’re flying to Sri Lanka today to see Nana (Yos’ mom) and spend two weeks in Sri Lanka with her, while Yosh sails across the Indian Ocean to Maisha with three crew members.
So Tula and I going to fly there and meet him so we both have a big journey ahead of us. To be reunited once again it’s been a lot in planning for this moment to happen, but now that like the time’s actually here it feels very sad.” ,”,,” :”,
