Whilst we are high tailing it at seven knots wing on wing in the relentless trades, we thought the perfect time for a little update on our sailing and life plans! Things have changed due to some unfortunate circumstances but in hind sight, it is a change for the better!!! We have been working our butts off to reach this point but are extremely happy with our new plan and what lies ahead!! YEW!
With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra where we are living the island life and chasing the surf before our big crossing!
We departed Australia in July 2017 and have since explored some amazing countries, met some beautiful people and experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades AROUND THE WORLD!
