Whilst We never planned to be here now, feeling the intensity of a force 11 wind blow is honestly a highlight. It’s just one more reminder of what makes Africa so incredibly unique — raw, powerful, and wild in so many ways
But we can’t go anywhere without an engine…
After months of travelling across Africa, we returned to Nandji 2 only to discover the engine had seized. Seawater had found its way in while we were away, and suddenly we were facing a refit we never expected.
The generator and the old, crusty engine are now out and living in the cockpit,
and the decision’s been made to repower the vessel. So now, it’s time to clean up this space, get it organised, and prepare Nandji for her new engine
