We had been anchored up in one of the most beautiful anchorages we could imagine for a few days, however with pending opposing weather inbound and it now being late in the season, we want to make the most of the current favourable winds and begin the 500 nautical mile journey north back to Thailand.
The first part of the passage involves sailing up the Sumatran coast for 300 miles to reach our check out port of Sabang in Banda Aceh. Let’s knock out some miles and enjoy some time at sea together.
