Footage from 2025-09-06. This is episode s6, e08. After being trapped in Dover for 10 days by a relentless storm, the weather finally cleared. It’s 6:10 AM, the two Perkins engines are roaring, and Lady Liselot is setting a course for Boulogne-sur-Mer, France.
But this crossing turned out to be more than just a trip from point A to point B. The forced delay in Dover taught me a tough lesson about my constant need to hurry, and why I was really chasing the sun.
Join me on this single-handed channel crossing featuring harbor maneuvers, a sudden emergency engine shutdown scare, and a nostalgic return to the French coast 26 years after my very first entry here in 1999.
Grab a coffee, sit back, and let’s enjoy this trip together! ☕⚓
