In preparation for crossing the Atlantic Ocean, we venture across the Bay of Biscay to make our way down the coast of western Europe. As we head into autumn our weather windows are shorter, and the next big low-pressure system is just around the corner. This was our first proper bluewater experience with thousands of metres of water under the keel, and consistent ocean swells. Accompanied by the milky way, bioluminescent algae and quarte quart, we run in to some good wind and sail fast towards Spain. We hope you enjoy this video and learn something from our first crossing of the notorious Bay of Biscay!
