The first instalment of our series, sailing across the mighty Atlantic Ocean. The trip of a lifetime starts with some hiccups, and we end up diverting offshore to a safe haven in Cape Verde. Multiple gear failures force us to make some tough decisions, but we are rewarded with fantastic fishing as a result! This is our biggest adventure in offshore sailing, and tests our skills in maintenance, self-reliance and seamanship.
