In this video, I transform our entire clogged and dirty diesel fuel system of our Yanmar. The output: over a thousand miles of stress free sailing and motoring with easy real-time monitoring.
In our previous episode – our filters and the actual fuel lines themselves clogged. Strangely, I haven’t seen anyone else doing what I do here – besides cleaning out the diesel tank and extending its life – I also added an electronic fuel vacuum gauge in the cockpit. To me, it’s safer than adding a long mechanical vacuum tube to the cockpit that would risk additional fuel leaks etc. So I feel like this is at least an internet or youtube first…
I also work on making some shelves for my Hunter Legend 40.5 – something that was badly needed. I also do a few other small fixes in the meantime.
