We had a hot issue with our shore power chord and 50 amp to 30 amp Y adapter. So much resistance had built up that the power chord could have caused a fire. We replaced both 30 amp shore power cords and the Y adapter.
There’s lots of sea grass here and it loves to get sucked up and clog the elbow going from the sea cock to the air conditioner’s intake hose as well as the strainer. Steve replaced the elbow with a straight connector and installed another smaller strainer close to the thru hull. We believe the smaller strainer will act as a barrier needing to be cleaned more frequently but also prevent the sea grass from clogging up the main strainer.
Went to the beach and took some time to visit Key West and enjoy the sights.

Featuring the sailboat Isabella, a Super Mikado 56 made by the French shipyard CNSO. Sailing, partying, dancing, cooking, and sometimes pushing the limits. This sailboat had been neglected for some time when she was purchased. Lots of cleaning, sanding, refinishing, new lines, refrigerator, pumps, water heater parts, whole boat water filters, bow thruster, lighting, fuel filters, instruments, air conditioning, etc.... Some of the fun with refitting a sailboat is to be able to do economical but quality improvements. Elbow grease saves a lot of money, watching for sales, knowing when substitutions can be made that will last, and of course enjoying the final product. We sail, fish (haha), dance, fly the drone, sometimes wear bikinis, DIY, ride the motorcycle, listen to great music, and enjoy life. Older sailors don't have a clew when to quit; they just keep lubing their winches.
