We have lots of wildlife to share with y’all. From manatees to pelicans to peacocks and more. Our mini vacation took us back to our old stomping ground, Cape Canaveral. Walking on Cocoa Beach brought back many fond memories. Luckily there was a rocket launch, absolutely love those! We saw dolphins swimming in the channel and so much more. Next stop St. Augustine, the oldest US city and fort Castillo de San Marcos. Volunteers reenacted the firing of the cannon shooting a six pound cannon ball. Super exciting.
Back on Isabella, we were lucky to have our friend visit for a short while. The basil we planted in the previous episode is growing well. Karen does some yoga on deck and painted the settee in the cockpit. And of course we danced.

Sailing Intermission
Featuring the sailboat Isabella, a Super Mikado 56 made by the French shipyard CNSO. Sailing, partying, dancing, cooking, and sometimes pushing the limits. This sailboat had been neglected for some time when she was purchased. Lots of cleaning, sanding, refinishing, new lines, refrigerator, pumps, water heater parts, whole boat water filters, bow thruster, lighting, fuel filters, instruments, air conditioning, etc.... Some of the fun with refitting a sailboat is to be able to do economical but quality improvements. Elbow grease saves a lot of money, watching for sales, knowing when substitutions can be made that will last, and of course enjoying the final product. We sail, fish (haha), dance, fly the drone, sometimes wear bikinis, DIY, ride the motorcycle, listen to great music, and enjoy life. Older sailors don't have a clew when to quit; they just keep lubing their winches.
