We took the dinghy to a reef but when we got there the wave action was a bit much so we turned around and headed back to Isabella. There was still a leak where the Garmin chart plotter cables passed through the cockpit. Built a teak spacer to raise the cable entry point which we believe will stop the leak down below. Checked the AIS configuration. Went to the beach and danced. Our video editing laptop broke and is in the shop for repairs. Visited some boat stores in Ft. Lauderdale.

Sailing Intermission
Featuring the sailboat Isabella, a Super Mikado 56 made by the French shipyard CNSO. Sailing, partying, dancing, cooking, and sometimes pushing the limits. This sailboat had been neglected for some time when she was purchased. Lots of cleaning, sanding, refinishing, new lines, refrigerator, pumps, water heater parts, whole boat water filters, bow thruster, lighting, fuel filters, instruments, air conditioning, etc.... Some of the fun with refitting a sailboat is to be able to do economical but quality improvements. Elbow grease saves a lot of money, watching for sales, knowing when substitutions can be made that will last, and of course enjoying the final product. We sail, fish (haha), dance, fly the drone, sometimes wear bikinis, DIY, ride the motorcycle, listen to great music, and enjoy life. Older sailors don't have a clew when to quit; they just keep lubing their winches.
