We’re sailing. Karen is looking great in her bikini. Went out on Saturday with little wind. Sunday the air picked up. Used our Kobalt drill and Winch Bit to make our winches electric. Call me lame but it’s nice to use when raising the main or even trimming the genoa. Tried sailing to the islands to see what was happening on the Labor Day weekend. Not a lot of wind on that day so motored halfway. There were lots of boats and even a seaplane. Adjusted the Dutchman once again, still may not be tuned well, but does make flaking the mainsail easier.
We eventually saw up to 7 kts close hauled with about 15 deg of lean in 15 kt air. The mainsail is a little tired. The fixed prop slows us down a bit. Perhaps a feathering or folding is in the future.
