Happy New Year to all. We’re still unable to sail and are longing to splash the second week in January! This time on Sailing Intermission we dance, go to the beach (always trying to stay close to water), do a deck tour, and celebrated New Year’s Eve.
Our main sail was unrepairable and we’ve ordered a new offshore main which will hopefully be ready by early February. Steve and I are frustrated having to live on the hard and not be able to sail.

Featuring the sailboat Isabella, a Super Mikado 56 made by the French shipyard CNSO. Sailing, partying, dancing, cooking, and sometimes pushing the limits. This sailboat had been neglected for some time when she was purchased. Lots of cleaning, sanding, refinishing, new lines, refrigerator, pumps, water heater parts, whole boat water filters, bow thruster, lighting, fuel filters, instruments, air conditioning, etc.... Some of the fun with refitting a sailboat is to be able to do economical but quality improvements. Elbow grease saves a lot of money, watching for sales, knowing when substitutions can be made that will last, and of course enjoying the final product. We sail, fish (haha), dance, fly the drone, sometimes wear bikinis, DIY, ride the motorcycle, listen to great music, and enjoy life. Older sailors don't have a clew when to quit; they just keep lubing their winches.
