This time on Sailing Intermission, Steve rebedded a wet leaking hatch. Karen cleaned the frame and then took a shower.
Isabella is finally transitioning from a project to a home. We were able to have some friends over, enjoy morning coffee in the cock pit and tell a few jokes. Life is starting to become a little more normal. Now…if we could only go sailing! Hoping we can at least dingy soon.

Sailing Intermission
Featuring the sailboat Isabella, a Super Mikado 56 made by the French shipyard CNSO. Sailing, partying, dancing, cooking, and sometimes pushing the limits. This sailboat had been neglected for some time when she was purchased. Lots of cleaning, sanding, refinishing, new lines, refrigerator, pumps, water heater parts, whole boat water filters, bow thruster, lighting, fuel filters, instruments, air conditioning, etc.... Some of the fun with refitting a sailboat is to be able to do economical but quality improvements. Elbow grease saves a lot of money, watching for sales, knowing when substitutions can be made that will last, and of course enjoying the final product. We sail, fish (haha), dance, fly the drone, sometimes wear bikinis, DIY, ride the motorcycle, listen to great music, and enjoy life. Older sailors don't have a clew when to quit; they just keep lubing their winches.
