Wow! Engine problem solved (fingers crossed), how exciting! We had our fuel polished and the fuel tank completely cleaned. The engine purrs like a kitten and we’re hoping no more fuel delivery issues. It was a wonderful discovery process and lots of information was revealed about our tank. Such as:
• the tank is fiberglass and not stainless
• we had baffles-unfortunately with rusted rods
• tank capacity is 170 gallons of fuel – not 132 gallons as thought previously
• we now know the shape of the tank
• when the fuel gauge says empty…we have about 10 more gallons of fuel
Y’all, we saw a great air show and did some dancing, to celebrate finally getting to the bottom of the fuel delivery problem.
