Will it ever go in? | Refitting our Hunter Sailboat

Will it ever go it?

If we are ever going to move our boat again, we need to get our engine up and running. The trip north really did a number on her and we are now ready to put everything back in working order. But that doesn’t always prove to be as easy as you hope.

It’s funny how all boat projects seem to turn out that way. Maybe it’s being in different locations all the time when you are sourcing parts. Maybe it’s because you don’t have access to a vehicle or the right tools on hand. Or, it could just be dealing with teeny tiny working spaces. Whatever the reason it always seems to be a bigger project then when you started!

But regardless of the agony our bodies seem to be in everyday, we are feeling safer and safer in our floating home knowing that the work has been completed, and completed correctly. We know that all the effort we are putting in now will payoff in the end. This journey is also teaching us that we don’t need to know how to do everything. Sometimes you need to call in the professionals to get the job done right. Even if we are driving the professionals crazy sometimes with our demands.

So, for now it’s back to work as we dream of the warm adventures that are coming our way.
