The Smokangan...

Welcome to the beautiful Smokanagan! 😷

This is my first experience in this land of the firesšŸ”„ Josh kept saying to me we need to embrace all these warm and clear days in June and July and I couldn’t understand why he was so adamant about it….well my friends now I get it. We have been stuck in the smoke for almost 3 weeks now and we are making the most of it but what an eerie feeling it is on the water. We want to try and sail ⛵but when you can’t see 100 yards in front of you it makes for a scary day. So I guess for the time being we have to motor around this beautiful socked in lake and be thankful that we are still safe and not on evac alert.
It is an amazing job that all the fire fighters are doing and if it wasn’t for them we would be in worse shape than we are right now.
Fingers crossed…and I hate to say it,
but we get some rain and we can get back to some clearer skies and fair winds.

Diving into the Culture of the Azores
We have been couped up on this ocean for 14 days now and it’s time to blow off some steam. But maybe we went a bit overboard by jumping into a local cultural event of running with the bulls. šŸ˜²šŸ‚ To be honest we didn’t even know the Azores existed...
