🌊 Hello, fellow adventurers and sailing enthusiasts! Welcome back to Sailing Honu Time, where the salty breeze meets the thrill of travel. Today, we’re diving headfirst into an unforgettable escapade that’s taken us 3200 nautical miles across the open ocean to the Dominican Republic. 🌍✨
From the boundless blue horizons to the stunning sunsets that have accompanied us on this remarkable journey, we’ve witnessed nature’s true splendor at every turn. And now, as we drop anchor at this spectacular destination, it’s as if a whole new chapter of our expedition has unveiled itself before us. ⛵🌴
With the promise of uncharted experiences and the allure of hidden treasures, we find ourselves and our 3 buddy boats @Aboardsecondwind @TheOceanBandits @sailingjoco at the enchanting shores of Puerto Plata. We have been set loose from our floating homes to immerse ourselves in the culture and sites, from umbrella street to Mount Isabel de Torres. Don’t forget the incredible local food! Did someone say empanadas? 🥟😋
But, before we set foot on land and immerse ourselves in its vibrant culture, there’s a bit of unfinished business onboard – those lingering Honu projects that deserve our attention. 🐢🛠️
