Hurricane Beryl Strikes While Attempting to Land in Grenada

While attempting to land in Grenada, Sailing Honu Time finds themselves caught up in the chaos of Hurricane Beryl. With visibility at its lowest and the weather proving quite challenging, they have their work cut out for them.Unexpected Stop in BarbadosDue to the difficult conditions in Grenada, they are rerouted to a much calmer destination, Barbados. However, they soon find themselves running low on fuel and are met with an even more uncertain plan.

We arrived back to our boat after doing an 2 month Atlantic crossing the day before Hurricane Beryl made land fall in Grenada. It was to late to run to Trinidad for safety.
This is a raw uncut video of what we experienced in Grenada.

Our hearts go out to all the families that were devastated by this disaster. This is the first hurricane in 20 years to hit this low and it was extreme. So many people lost their homes, land based or floating, their businesses, and infrastructure. It truly is a gut wrenching disaster.
