Becoming a liveaboard | Refitting a Hunter 460
August 20, 2022 by Sailing Honu Time | Language: EN Play Time: 00:21:14 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

Do you remember that first time you moved into your own place? The excitement to get all your stuff in, unpack, and start making it your own. That moment when you finally get the keys…priceless
We have been through this process many times in our lives and needless to say we expected purchasing and moving abord our new home to be quite similar. BOY, WERE WE WRONG!
A possession date for a boat is much different then a house. Especially when the previous owner is 15 time zones away. That’s a 16+ hour difference.
We very impatiently waited almost 10 days after releasing the funds before we could get the code to unlock our new home. Now I’m sure that this is the normal processing time, and it wouldn’t have been such a big deal if we didn’t have all the items we possessed pack very tightly into our 1998 Chrysler Town and Country, or the family truckster as we like to call it.
But as they say, patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.
It’s funny how one moment in your life can feel like an eternity. How that one single thing can weigh down on you and feel all-encompassing that you lose sight of the bigger picture.
The lesson learned from this experience. We almost missed this huge exciting moment in our lives because we got lost in details. We are working very hard to not let this happen again…
We are now on our new to us floating home and the games are just beginning. As we are removing the old owner and making it ours and all those feeling of excitement and anticipation are finally here.
The hard work is just beginning and we are pumped to get started! 🤙⛵️
