Little did we know as we headed out to cross the South Pacific from Costa Rica across the South Pacific to French Polynesia that our trusty Spectra Watermaker would fail us 1,000nm into our crossing. Exiting Marina Papagayo, we settled back to enjoy a trip filled with every type of sailing challenge. Toss in a pod of dolphins, fresh chocolate chip cookies and a perfect series of sunsets and we were well on our way to the crossing of a lifetime. But now we have no way to make fresh water and we are still weeks away from our destination. What do we do now? Watch and see how the crew of Gargoyle manages their most serious challenge yet.
