Malta to Sicily Voyage
It has been an amazing month here in Malta, but it is now time for Gargoyle to start her voyage to Venice with the jump to Ragusa Sicily. Before we can go, we need to fix our watermaker and then time a North eastly that is blowing in that may make leaving impossible. So, after paying an outrageous amount for overnight delivery from Italy, we wait, and wait and wait for our part to be delivered by DHL. Finally, after we take over the delivery function, we cast off and head across the crowded shipping lanes from the Suez Canal that pass between Malta and Sicily. Besides dodging ships Kevin must jump in to free the prop from a shipping container strap that we have picked up. All in a day’s work but oh baby, is that water cold! Come make the jump with us.
