After 14,000 nautical miles and forty days, it was finally time to unload Gargoyle in Cork Ireland. We had heard horror stories about yachts damaged in transit by big seas so we were nervous as to what state our home would arrive. Planned to be first off the boat in the early morning, plans changed, and we were left to explore the bridge of the Happy Dynamic as well as to enjoy shipboard hospitality in the mess. Finally, it was launching time and Gargoyle was back in her native environment. With the help of Pat from the world’s oldest yacht club, Royal Cork, we quickly had our home tied up to the historic docks.
