Gargoyle tackles the Papagayos and sails into Nicaragua Ep. 14
We depart Bahia del Sol and make a quick overnight trip to the Gulf of Fonseca to spend some time at anchor and to check into Isla de Tigre, Honduras. Unfortunately, the Papagayos winds came early forcing the crew to seek shelter at Isla Meanguera to wait out a window to sail to Nicaragua. After two days the forecast provided a small window and we headed out of the Gulf. The Papagayos winds decided to teach us one last lesson as we sailed out with 35-40 knot winds until we could sail around the corner to the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua. After a rough morning, the crew enjoyed smooth sailing all the way to Puesta Del Sol.
