Exploring Nuku Hiva Ep. 94
After our thirty days at sea, we are anxious to explore the remote Pacific paradise of Nuku Hiva. We opt for a land tour with a local guide and hop aboard his 4×4 for a full day covering the entire island. We see ancient Polynesian ruins, sacrifice alters, Copra plantations, local artisans and even dine on the local specialty of wild goat in coconut sauce. It is a very full day with magnificent views in all directions and we return to Gargoyle exhausted but delighted by this wonderful place.
