Ep 23 | Wind, Waves & Thunderstorms!
July 23, 2020 by Sailing Fair Isle | Language: EN Play Time: 00:26:10 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

Sailing the North -West coast of Mallorca is a real pleasure and the lack of tourists this year means us yachties have the place to ourselves!
We did have some exciting weather though and a scary moment as our mainsail halyard broke at the worst possible time. We had a really good passage from Mallorca to Menorca though, where we are now seeing more boats but still not many holiday makers on land.
We wanted to get to Mahon, Menorca’s capital, quickly as thats where our dinghy has been sent. It’s a True Fit 2.5 meter dinghy from New Zealand and looks great. As your dinghy is basically your car while you’re cruising we now feel like we’ve got a Mercedes to travel around in rather than a scooter!

The worst place to run aground | Ep138
The Cuban coastguard doesn't have a boat. One sailor we spoke to here was told that if he wanted his boat pulled off the rocks they would have to hire a boat from Jamaica. So, this is not the place to find yourself hard aground! Added to that, we can 't ...
Sailing CUBA! | Ep137
Cuba is without doubt the friendliest and most fascinating place we've been in the Caribbean - but somewhat surprisingly, there are hardly any tourists here (and they could really use more!). Cruising here on a boat is not like other countries. Officially...
