We Found a Hidden Village Built Over the Ocean in Thailand

Today we explore one of the most unique places we've discovered while sailing in Thailand.

We start the morning anchored off Bang Bao on Koh Kood, heading ashore in search of breakfast at a beautiful beachfront resort. Unfortunately… no luck. So we raise the sails and head around the island looking for our next adventure.

What we find is incredible.

On the far side of the island we discover a traditional Thai village built entirely over the water, stretching out along a long pier. Above the village sits a giant golden Buddha statue watching over the bay and protecting the fishermen and their families below.

We climb the hill to visit the Buddha, explore the floating village, and enjoy some delicious (and incredibly cheap) local food while taking in the views.

Thailand never stops surprising us.

Join us as we continue sailing through some of the most beautiful islands in the world.

We Found One of Thailand’s Most Beautiful Hidden Bays

We sail into Ao Hat Yuan on Koh Phangan, one of the most beautiful bays I’ve ever visited. With no road access, the beach is only reachable by boat, and somehow we had the entire anchorage to ourselves. We spent the day swimming in crystal-clear water, riding the e-foil, relaxing in our floating po...

We’re Running Out of Diesel… And There’s None on the Island

We’re anchored off Koh Phangan, Thailand, but before we can continue our trip we have a problem—we’re getting pretty low on diesel. There are no traditional fuel docks on the island, so we head ashore and visit a few marinas hoping to find someone who can help us fill up. After striking out everywh...

It wasn’t a Full Moon Party night, but we anchored right in the same beautiful bay where all th...
