Total Steering Failure at Sea! | Emergency Fix to Save the Boat
Things go seriously wrong as we leave Staniel Cay bound for Little Farmer's Cay. Just minutes into our sail, the entire hydraulic steering system fails, leaving us drifting with no control. I tear apart the master cabin to activate the emergency tiller and get us moving again—barely.
Once underway, we finally reach Little Farmer’s Cay, where we hop in the dinghy to explore one of the most unique underwater sights in the Bahamas: the sunken piano and mermaid statue at Rudder Cut Cay.
Back onboard, it’s time to troubleshoot the failure and figure out how to fix the boat before we can sail again.
