Engine Alarm, Water Leak & a Nightmare Repair Before We Sail
Back in the water… and already chasing problems.
In this episode of Sailing Doodles, I’m trying to get Nauti Dogs ready to finally go sailing, but there’s still a long list of jobs to knock out first. I investigate the engine alarm that went off right after launch, replace the alternator belt, and track down a frustrating water leak buried in one of the worst possible places on the boat.
Fixing that leak meant crawling upside down and backwards into an incredibly tight space — definitely one of the more claustrophobic repairs I’ve done on this boat.
There’s plenty more maintenance, troubleshooting, and last-minute preparation as I get everything ready for the next leg of the adventure.
