Welcome back to another exciting episode as we continue our sailing adventure! In today’s video, we’re taking you to a hot and dirty boat yard in Mexico where Dad is working his way up the mast to fix our navigational system.

Preparing for a New Radar

To get ready for a new radar, we’re first removing the old Funo unit that’s mounted on a swivel mount at the top of our mizen mast. We’ll also take down some outdated cables and network systems to clean up our navigation set-up.

Dad’s Adventure Up the Mast

Dad’s going to be pulling himself up the mast while Sarah holds his safety line. This isn’t an easy task and requires a steady hand and patience as they work together.

Radar Mount Removal

Once Dad’s at the top, he removes the bolts to unmount the radar housing from the mast. This allows him to bring it down safely and start preparing for the new installation.

A Special Thank You

The crew would like to give a big thank you to Doug and Meg, who are upgrading their own radar system and kindly sent them an older model. This radar unit is currently in Phoenix, where they’ll pick it up to hook into their existing set-up.

Finding Earrings

Sarah also announces that the girls’ earrings, a collaboration with Doug and Meg, will soon be sold out. If you want to get your hands on these limited-edition pieces, make sure to check it out before they’re gone.
