Four years ago we moved from England to California not knowing a thing about sailing. In September 2019 we sailed our 36 foot boat under the Golden Gate Bridge and turned left, leaving the San Francisco Bay behind but taking our cosy home with us. For us, this is the journey of a lifetime. We intend to visit some of the world's most beautiful and unspoiled cruising grounds. We'd like to share our trials and tribulations with you here, where we hope to bring you an authentic snapshot of our new life afloat!

Join Bohemia’s fearless crew on anchor in the calm lagoon of Barra de Navidad, where they stopped off at the gorgeous med-style resort, for the sole purpose of picking up their burgee for a cruising rally… and, the Captain faces some big issues with his alternator as we attempt to sail away south!
Despite the maintenance problems, we made it to the spectacular, remote Esenada Carrizal which was a treat for the eyes, spending the night before checking out another fancy ‘resort’ anchorage at Las Hadas, Mazanillo.
