Four years ago we moved from England to California not knowing a thing about sailing. In September 2019 we sailed our 36 foot boat under the Golden Gate Bridge and turned left, leaving the San Francisco Bay behind but taking our cosy home with us. For us, this is the journey of a lifetime. We intend to visit some of the world's most beautiful and unspoiled cruising grounds. We'd like to share our trials and tribulations with you here, where we hope to bring you an authentic snapshot of our new life afloat!

Yes, you read it correctly, Bohemia has a new first mate! The old one just wasn’t up to the job. Ha ha. Join us in this action-packed episode where we cover even more miles than usual, flying back to Europe to visit friends and family while little Bohemia waits out hurricane season in Puerto Vallarta.
After returning to the boat, we do a few little jobs, like painting the bottom before splashing back into the water. The Captain finds a seawater leak to contend with on the journey back to the marina, and we take a test sail to recommission the watermaker (and the crew) for the next season of tropical cruising!
