Four years ago we moved from England to California not knowing a thing about sailing. In September 2019 we sailed our 36 foot boat under the Golden Gate Bridge and turned left, leaving the San Francisco Bay behind but taking our cosy home with us. For us, this is the journey of a lifetime. We intend to visit some of the world's most beautiful and unspoiled cruising grounds. We'd like to share our trials and tribulations with you here, where we hope to bring you an authentic snapshot of our new life afloat!

At long last, LiFePO4 (a.k.a. lithium) battery technology has caught up with Bohemia on her travels! That’s right, the power struggle is nearly over! We took delivery of two new Battle Born BB8D (https://battlebornbatteries.com/product/battleborn-270ah-12v-lihtium-deep-cycle-8d-battery?afmc=4a) 270Ah batteries, and set about finding a home for them and rewiring Bohemia’s DC power system to cope with the increased capacity!
