Four years ago we moved from England to California not knowing a thing about sailing. In September 2019 we sailed our 36 foot boat under the Golden Gate Bridge and turned left, leaving the San Francisco Bay behind but taking our cosy home with us. For us, this is the journey of a lifetime. We intend to visit some of the world's most beautiful and unspoiled cruising grounds. We'd like to share our trials and tribulations with you here, where we hope to bring you an authentic snapshot of our new life afloat!

Still weary from our overnight sail and squinting into the morning sunlight, we snuck across the river bar and sailed into the lush jungle ahead of us! We were able to motor for several miles upriver and found an isolated spot to call home for a few days while we explored further! Sailing inland like this was a unique and beautiful experience for both of us, what better way to celebrate than with a couple of beers and some blabbering from the Captain?!
