Four years ago we moved from England to California not knowing a thing about sailing. In September 2019 we sailed our 36 foot boat under the Golden Gate Bridge and turned left, leaving the San Francisco Bay behind but taking our cosy home with us. For us, this is the journey of a lifetime. We intend to visit some of the world's most beautiful and unspoiled cruising grounds. We'd like to share our trials and tribulations with you here, where we hope to bring you an authentic snapshot of our new life afloat!

This episode finds Bohemia’s crew on anchor Isla Escudo de Veraguas, Panama, when the First Mate spies a large squall on the horizon. Luckily, it only brought a bit of swell and an unscheduled tea break and we could get underway again! We sailed a short hop around the corner to Bluefield Lagoon, where we took a brave plunge into the ‘perhaps crocodile infested’ waters and got a warm welcome from the friendly indigenous people.
