It had been over a year since I’d seen my mom and stepdad, and inviting them into our life aboard our sailboat felt exciting — and a little nerve-wracking.
What followed was a week of real boat life: unexpected stowaways, system failures, rainstorms, incredible sailing days, and saying goodbye all over again.
