We crossed an ocean dreaming about places like Fakarava. World-famous dives, crystal-clear lagoons, black pearls, and remote islands were everything we had imagined.
But somewhere along the way, we realized this journey was changing more than our location. It was quietly changing the way we measured success.
This week we experience the incredible grouper spawning dive, snorkel vibrant coral gardens, visit a traditional black pearl farm, sail from Fakarava to Tikehau, and navigate one of French Polynesia's beautiful passes. Yet it was the simple moments—time together, new friendships, and everyday life aboard—that left the biggest impression.
