A Week That Didn’t Go to Plan | Rain & Marina Life in Grenada

Not every week is turquoise water and perfect anchorages. This week in Grenada, heavy rain, canceled plans, and marina life kept us tied to the dock — and gave us a real dose of the cruising lifestyle.

Between endless boat chores, a soggy anniversary outing, sewing a DIY bow shade, and watching our kids navigate marina friendships, we did our best to find the silver linings. From tackling stubborn grime on the hull to finally upgrading our cockpit cushions, we kept busy even when adventures got rained out.

Cruising isn’t always waterfalls and sunshine — sometimes it’s maintenance, rainstorms, and the ups and downs of living in close quarters with other sailors. But that’s boat life… and it’s all part of the journey.

Join us as we share an honest look at marina living in Grenada and get ready to plan our next move west toward the ABCs.

⚓️ Subscribe to follow our journey as we tackle the challenges of boat life, explore new destinations, and chase freedom one nautical mile at a time.

Most People Think We’re Crazy… But We’d Do It Again

Most people think we're crazy. We sold the house, left the routine behind, and crossed the Pacific Ocean with our kids. It hasn't always been easy. There have been setbacks, repairs, long passages, and plenty of uncertainty. But there have also been moment...

The View Isn’t The Reason We Crossed the Pacific

Most people think we crossed the Pacific for the turquoise water, remote islands, and incredible anchorages. And while those things are amazing, they're not the reason we made this journey. The real reward has been the people we've met, the experiences we'...

This Is Why We Crossed The Pacific

After crossing the Pacific Ocean and spending weeks in the Marquesas, we finally arrived at one of the places we've dreamed about for years: the Tuamotus. In this episode, we leave Nuku Hiva behind and make the 500 nautical mile passage to Raroia Atoll. A...

Would you cross an ocean for this?

After crossing the Pacific Ocean, we finally arrived in the Tuamotus Islands of French Polynesia. Crystal-clear lagoons, coral atolls, and some of the most beautiful water we've ever seen. Would you cross an ocean for this? #Sailing #FrenchPolynesia #Tua...

This Made the Delay Worth It

We stayed in Nuku Hiva longer than planned while waiting for the right weather window to sail to the Tuamotus. Then we found ourselves swimming with manta rays. Moments like these remind us that sometimes the unexpected parts of the journey become the mo...
