From helping others to saving our own souls. Please follow our inspirational story of a ER RN and ER MD that left the world of medicine to follow our dream of learning to sail and circumnavigation. We donated all our belongings and left our home in NJ to pursue our dream. Although some may say we have challenges (Anthony having PPMS and our son Rowan 7 with Down syndrome) we are here to show you that our "challenges" are our gifts. Sailing Ama-gi
As an RN (Lara) and MD (Anthony) working in the ER we dedicated our lives to helping others. Anthony was was diagnosed with MS (Primary Progressive) and our world was changed. Our outlook on how we are going to live did also. We decided to donate our belongings, and start our journey of a simpler more meaningful life. With our two youngest sons, Rowan 7 (who has Down syndrome ) and Kai 5, we set off to travel the world on our ⛵️sailboat Ama-gi.❤️
