After Canouan, s/v Cloudy Bay (Hallberg-Rassy 54) moves on to Bequia, the largest of the Grenadines islands and well set up for tourists. We moor in Port Elizabeth, the heart of island’s commerce, with charming waterfront bars & restaurants, fresh fruit & veg stalls and lovely beaches. And we explore the island by bicycle, visiting Friendship Bay, Firefly Plantation, Industry Bay, Park Beach, Spring Bay and Hope Bay. As for the social scene, although clearly set up to have an active one, during our stay we found most of the venues almost deserted in the evenings, despite the local’s efforts to offer live entertainment, inviting decors and large variety of dishes.
