Saint Martin certainly is a lovely island, but we unfortunately never got to see any of it…
We arrived in the Simpson Bay Lagoon early March to catch a flight to Stockholm, and while we were away, the coronavirus pandemic unraveled in a way that no one could predict.
Although we managed to get back to the boat right before everything shut down, we got stuck in the lagoon, where we’ve spent the last 2 months onboard. In this video, I take you along on a day in lockdown, in “paradise”.
I wasn’t sure how to make this video. But Ryan and I spent two months hearing how we were “lucky” to be where we are, and I wanted to offer a little more “nuanced” perspective on the situation of boaters in the Caribbean.
