Come along on an epic tour of Portugal. We start out in the Douro Valley, where Port Wine is made. Then we travel to Aveiro, also known as the Venice of Portugal; where canal boats take you on a tour of the old neighborhood built along waterways instead of streets. After that, we venture out to Costa Nova where iconic stripped houses line the beach that faces the Atlantic Ocean.
At the end, we visit Coimbra, a university town on a mountain top which holds the oldest University and Library in Portugal. The University was started in the 1200’s in Lisbon and moved to this location in the 1500’s. The library has been in continuous use since it was founded in the 1530’s!
Portugal has so much to offer and we are a little sad to be leaving soon, but the sea is calling us and we will be heading back offshore on our sailboat soon!
