I'm Renegade, these are my adventures! I'm a Photographer from Montana who lives on a sailboat, a 1966 Spencer 42' Sloop, right now we are in the Pacific North West, doing a major refit eventually going to wind up sailing to Alaska, then the South Pacific.

This Spencer 42-2 is one of the best sailboats ever built! Add to the fact that she is the only S42 ever built with an aft cabin and you have a very unique boat!
In this video tour I give you a basic walk around and walk through of her.
Spencer sailboats have a reputation for being solid tough blue water cruisers, the early models featured non-cored hulls that were very thick, built to last most of them are still floating today with several owners having performed extensive refits.
My own boat the SV Melodaire is a Spencer 42-2 the only difference being that SV Katrinka has an aft cabin.
SV Katrinka actually paved the way for the Spencer 44 which was built by taking the Spencer 42 mold, cutting it in half and adding a two foot extension which allowed for the building of an aft cabin sailboat with a walk through under the cockpit.
