Ahoy, YouTube! Thanks for checking out my channel ON THE DOCKS. I’m Jack, and I have been a Dockmaster in San Diego for several years now and I have found that a Marina is a truly crazy and magical place. A melting pot, if you will, where the opportunity for excitement looms around every corner. Helicopters landing on MegaYachts. Surf spots only accessible by boat. Seagulls that kill. Homeless vagabonds. Boat owners gone mad. Endless free fish. Pirates. The search for the perfect burrito. And even an amazing love story. So I decided to get a camera and start recording. This is my life ON THE DOCKS, where I’ll be exploring every aspect of life at the marina, the surrounding San Diego area, and where ever else life takes me. Even if you aren’t a boater, don’t worry, there’s a little something for everybody ON THE DOCKS. Just remember, the Marina giveth, and the Marina taketh away........enjoy!

I had 24 hours to spend with my girlfriend before she flew home to the Philippines for an undetermined amount of time. The COVID-19 situation has kept us apart for 5 months.
Video Details:
I filmed this video entirely on a DJI OSMO Action camera with a FotoPro UFO 2 Tripod. This is an awesome minimalist camera set up. The tripod can put the camera almost anywhere and the camera itself takes pretty video, is very compact, and the audio quality is great other than when the wind is blowing. I edited everything on an iPad Pro using LumaFusion.
