Foundation of our Shipping Container House – Site marking, levelling, excavation, footings – Ep. 001

This is the first episode towards our goal of building, by ourselves, a Tiny Shipping Container House without any previously experience and producing a Youtube Series about it called Living Tiny Project.

This episode is all about the site preparation for receiving our 40-foot dry container so we can actually start building our dreamed Tiny House.

This video contains:

Step 1: Site Marking (location of the TINY SHIPPING CONTAINER HOUSE) by locating a nylon string attached to wooden sticks to represent the sides of the shipping container, and using the rectangle triangle method to achieve perfect perpendicular and parallel lines (footing layout). We used the method of leveling a site with a whose.
Step 2: Site Excavation (preparing the site for the cast in site concrete footings)
Step 3: Mesh Rebar and Regular Rebar preparation.
Step 4: Preparation of the Foam Work.
Step 5: Concrete Making. (concrete recipe – construction)
Step 6: Concrete Pouring.
Step 7: Disassembling of the foam work.
Step 8: Locating the Pre-Cast Concrete Footings over the cast in site concrete footings (concrete footing).
Step 9: Layout of the Tiny Shipping Container House
