Welcome back aboard, NAUTI Crew! ⚓
Today we're stepping onto the Ocean Alexander 74 — and I'm just going to say it upfront: I think this boat is a smarter buy than a brand-new build, and by the end of this tour, I think you'll agree with me.
Ocean Alexander has serious pedigree. The shipyard was founded back in 1977 by Alex Chueh, and from nearly the very beginning, they've had a relationship with designer Ed Monk Jr. — son of the legendary Ed Monk Sr. That partnership goes all the way back to the company's first delivered yacht in 1978. Fast forward to 2015, and Showboats International named Ocean Alexander one of the top five superyacht builders in the entire world. This isn't a boat that got lucky — it's a boat built by people who've spent decades getting really, really good at this. Now here's why THIS particular 74 has us so excited: the current owner didn't just maintain this boat, they poured serious money into upgrades — and every single dollar went exactly where it should. We're talking real, functional improvements, not just cosmetic lipstick. That's the difference between buying new and buying smart. When you buy new, you're the one doing the shakedown cruises, finding the gremlins, breaking in the systems, and writing the punch list. When you buy a boat like this one? Somebody already did all of that for you — and then upgraded past factory spec on top of it. You're stepping onto a boat that's already dialed in.
We're walking the full layout today: the salon and dining area with that classic Ocean Alexander design language, the full-beam master suite, guest staterooms, the flybridge, and — because we always go where the pretty tour channels won't — straight into the engine room to see exactly what's been done under the hood.
She might be avail for sale for $2,500,000 😝😝.
😜 Let me know what you guys think of this one in the comments
