Today we're stepping onto Silver Seas, a 107' raised pilothouse motor yacht built by Burger Boat Company — and this one has one of the wildest backstories we've come across. She was originally built in 1998 as "Lady Grace Marie," the second of FOUR yachts Burger built for the same repeat customer. That kind of loyalty tells you everything you need to know about how good Burger's craftsmanship really is.
But here's the part that really blew us away: the current owner just put this boat through a comprehensive, no-expense-spared reconstruction — full repaint, engine overhauls, hull refairing, new marble, updated electronics, the works. And get this — the cost of that refit alone nearly matched (some say exceeded) the boat's current asking price. That means you're basically getting a brand new yacht build, at a fraction of what building one from scratch would actually cost you.
We're walking the entire layout today: all four ensuite staterooms, the country-style galley with that massive U-shaped bench, both al fresco dining areas on the flybridge and aft deck, the raised pilothouse, and — because we never skip it — straight down into the engine room.
