They definitely don't build them like this anymore! Today, we're stepping aboard a 1989 Hatteras 65 Motor Yacht, and this classic cruiser has a lot more to offer than you might expect. The first thing that stood out to me was the space. The salon feels enormous, the layout is incredibly practical, and there’s storage everywhere. This is one of those boats that immediately makes you think, "I could actually live here." Some of my favorite features? The traditional yacht feel, the huge living areas, and how solid everything feels throughout the boat. It has that old-school Hatteras quality that so many boaters still love today. Rico was loving the engineering and build quality — this yacht was built during an era when durability and offshore capability were at the top of the priority list. If you're searching for an affordable liveaboard yacht, a classic motor yacht, or simply want to see what made Hatteras legendary, this one is definitely worth a look.
